PotentialApplications:
The product reduces thesurface tension of aqueous agricultural mixtures significantly lower than is achievable with conventionalnonionic surfactants. At concentrations as low as 0.01 percent, it reducessurface tension as low as 23 dynes/cm, which produces very rapid wetting andspreading on hard-to-wet surfaces such as waxy leaves. Thus, complete coveragecan be achieved with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and otheragricultural chemicals. In addition to the rapid wetting and spreading, it alsogreatly increases the uptake of chemicals into plant tissues. Adding it to aherbicide tankmix may significantly enhance its efficacy, particularly in thecontrol of broadleaf weeds with water-soluble herbicides. The rapid uptakeproduces “rain-fastness”; i.e., herbicides are not washed off by rainfallbecause they have penetrated into the plant surface
